ABOUT

Iam a Glasgow-based artist working primarily in copper plate etching, a medium that allows me to explore the intricate textures and rhythms of the natural world. My practice is rooted in a lifelong fascination with the creatures of earth, air, and water—an interest shaped by years spent in Orkney and a formal education in both fine art printmaking and countryside management.
Through traditional etching techniques, I seek to preserve and elevate the overlooked details of marine and terrestrial life. Each image is meticulously drawn using a fine needlepoint and magnifying glass, etched into copper with age-old methods that echo the timelessness of my subject matter. My recent work has evolved to incorporate collage, blind embossing, and hand-coloured elements, pushing the boundaries of printmaking into sculptural and experimental forms.
I believe art should be accessible and intimate. Whether through limited edition prints or mixed-media pieces, my intention is to invite viewers into a quiet dialogue with nature—one that celebrates fragility, resilience, and the quiet beauty found in the smallest things.
